The ASA Hall of Fame Complex is widely regarded as the
finest softball facility in the nation. With four fields and other world class amenities, the Complex has played host to
the best softball competition in the world, including USA
teams that represent the nation in international competitions.
Among the most recent USA Softball National Teams to play
in ASA Hall of Fame Stadium was the 2011 USA Women's
National team, which brought home the gold in the World Cup of Softball. The World Cup of Softball VI was July 21-25, with Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Japan and the 2011 USA Softball Women's National Team playing.
In 2007, the Men's National Fast Pitch team won the inaugural American Challenge and in 2009 the inaugural Border Battle in Men's Slow Pitch was a success with the USA defeating Canada 30-23. The 2010 Men's Slow Pitch National Team lost the Border Battle 30-29 to Canada. On July 23, the 2011 Border Battle was held, in which the USA defeated Canada with a 25-3 score.
Annually, ASA Hall of Fame Stadium plays host to a wide
variety of softball events, including the nation's No. 1
collegiate contest, the NCAA Women's College World Series
(WCWS), which annually draws more than 63,000 spectators from
around the nation and had record setting crowds in 2010. ASA Hall of Fame Stadium has hosted the
event over a dozen times and is scheduled as the home of the WCWS
through
2012.
